Part of his new 2020 series Alfred Ntuli Collection is Bab’Ntuli’s orange medium ukhamba hand woven for 2 weeks in coils of vibrant color orange, and hints of small triangles in white, black, blue, turqoise blue and yellow wire making for a lifetime lasting collection piece.

Alfred Bongukufa Ntuli is a master weaver who uses wire to weave Zulu baskets that resemble beer containers traditionally woven with ilala palm. Alfred was taught by the late pioneer master weaver Elliot Mkhize.
